How involved were you in putting Blur 21 together?
“Very. I was a bit of a hoarder in the early days and used to take a little tape recorder to rehearsals. I had a huge box of cassettes, and a little later on DATs, a few CDs, with early rehearsals, rough studio mixes. I was quite proud of what we were doing, so I’d take a bit home for my girlfriend to listen to and enjoy the fact that we’d created something.”
